The department is equipped with modern equipment of leading companies: JAEGER, HORMANN, MEDITECH Ltd, METRAX
Gmbh., Samsung, has 30 beds for hospital treatment in 1-3 local, comfortable wards. The intensive care unit is equipped on
the modern level. Hypoxicator ГИП-10-1000-0 allows to carry out interval hypoxic training in our department, which has a
number of favorable incentives and tempering effects on the human body.

Holter ECG monitoring with the definition of heart rate
variability and blood pressure monitoring.
The modern method of diagnosing and monitoring the
effectiveness of treatment of a wide range of cardiovascular
diseases (ischemic arrhythmias, blockades). The advantage of
this method is the daily means of a portable ECG machine. The
special value of the method takes in the case when the standard
electrocardiography does not give a clear answer to the problems
of diagnosis or monitoring the effectiveness of treatment of a
cardiac disease. Holter monitor is mounted on a patient who
leads a normal life. In this case, the electrocardiographic signal is
recorded during the day. The measurement results are being
transmitted to a computer and processed by special software,
then a physician. Thanks to the continuous recording system,
offers the possibility of almost all cardiac arrhythmias. Daily
monitoring of blood pressure during the study is carried out with
the cuff, which is worn on the shoulder of the patient. The
monitor automatically measures the blood pressure at intervals
and stores measurement results. This study is necessary for
patients with hypertension, as it allows to assess the level of
blood pressure, changes in performance during the day and to
evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment. Department is
equipped by 3 Holter monitor: Kardiotehnika-04-AD, Inc. "Inkart",
St. Petersburg, and monitors from Cardio Tens, Hungary.
Veloergometry - the essence of this research method is to
record the ECG of the patient during graduated exercise. This
study is especially important for the diagnosis and monitoring the
effectiveness of treatment of ischemic heart disease.
Echocardiography with color Doppler analysis - ultrasound
examination of the heart and the valve apparatus. The survey
allows us to estimate the size of the heart chambers, the
thickness of the heart muscle and mobility, structure and
operation of the valves, to identify heart defects, tumors, blood
clots, measure the affected area after suffering a heart attack.
Using color Doppler evaluation of intracardiac hemodynamics
produced is examined systolic and diastolic heart function, which
allows to establish the presence of heart failure at the pre-
hospital stage. The procedure is painless, does not cause
complications, and has no side effects. The whole procedure of
the study and description of the protocol takes within a 30-45
minutes. Ultrasonic General Electric Medical Systems VIVID 3
(USA) is used for this procedure.
Spirography, body plethysmography and the study of
lung diffusion capacity (DLCO) - is the most advanced and
precise pulmonary function that allows you to determine the type,
extent, and reversibility of ventilation disorders, and to measure
the diffusion capacity of the lungs. For research use: The unit
«Elite» (production of Medical Graphics Corporation, USA) and the
unit «Master Lab Pro» (production of Jaeger, Germany).
Computer spirography allows us to estimate the full range of
standard and extended spirometry indexes with displaying of
flow-volume curves on the basis of which we can assess the
presence or absence of obstructive or restrictive disorders of
Body plethysmography - is the only method by which we can
estimate the structure of static lung volumes (residual volume,
total lung capacity, functional residual capacity). These
parameters are particularly important for the diagnosis and
determine the severity of emphysema. Thus, this method can
measure aerodynamic airway resistance. Increasing this
parameter is a sensitive marker for the presence of obstructive
disorders, allowing suspected asthma or chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease in the early stages of the disease, and to
monitor the condition of patients with obstructive lung disease.
The measurement of diffusing capacity (DLCO) is usually
performed after spirometry and body plethysmography in patients
of pulmonological and cardiological profile, to detect violations of
gas exchange. For the diagnosis of emphysema study DLCO
proved to be more informative than the definition of pulmonary
distensibility, and by the ability to register early pathological
changes of the lung parenchyma, this method is comparable in
sensitivity with a CT scan. It should be noted that UNLK
"University Hospital" is the only center in eastern Ukraine, where
this study is carried out.
The conduction of the full external respiratory function assesment
allows to investigate the functional state of the patient's lungs for
a more accurate diagnosis and qualified selection of therapy for
many diseases of the lungs (bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease, bronchitis, emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis).
At the same time, the opportunities are not limited to methods of
pulmonology pathology, but also help in the diagnosis, therapy
selection and evaluation of the effectiveness of treatment of many
cardiac diseases. The study is also very valuable in patients with
combined cardio-pulmonary disease.
The standard electrocardiography with an analytical
conclusion - the most common method of diagnostics of the
cardiovascular system. In our department 12- channel cardiologic
complex Bioset 8000, the company Hormann, Germany is used.
The obtained data allows to identify cardiac arrhythmias, evaluate
the function of excitability, conduction, diagnose atrial and
ventricular hypertrophy, ischemia and myocardial infarction.

The essence of interval hypoxic training, also called intermittent
hypoxic therapy is to ensure that the the patient is offered to
alternately breathe in the air with low oxygen content, an analog
of the mountain air, and then the usual, customary for him air. At
the same time in response to changing concentrations of oxygen
in inspired air positive changes in the cardiovascular, respiratory,
nervous, hematopoietic and other systems are happening.
The cycle of interval hypoxic training is recommended for chronic
diseases - ischemic heart disease, hypertension, asthma,
bronchitis, pyelonephritis, cystitis, ulcers, diabetes. The method
has been successfully used in gynecological and urological
practice in the menstrual cycle disorders, menopause syndrome
in women and forms of erectile dysfunction in men. In obesity,
insomnia, depression it is also possible to use the interval hypoxic
training. Furthermore, the course of hypoxytherapy is effective for
different types of allergic reactions, eczema, psoriasis and acne
in patients of any age.
On average, a prophylactic course of interval hypoxic therapy is
between 10 and 20 procedures, the treatment course can be
conducted for a longer period.

Determination of the troponin.
Troponin Assay often necessary to confirm, or alternatively exclude myocardial infarction in patients with acute heart pain or

Determination of D-dimer
Detection of elevated levels of D-dimer test is indicating the activation of fibrin formation that constitutes the structural basis of
blood clots. This token is used for the early detection of blood clots. The definition of this indicator has a particular diagnostic
value in suspected pulmonary embolism (PE) and deep vein thrombosis.
Determination of brain natriuretic peptide
Examine the levels of brain natriuretic peptide in the blood - is a highly accurate method that allows patients to diagnose the
presence and assess the severity of heart failure. The definition of this indicator in the dynamics helps to evaluate the
effectiveness of the treatment.
